4C Gandhi Converter Guide

1. What is 4C Gandhi?

4C Gandhi is a specialized legacy font used heavily in the Indian publishing industry (books, magazines) before the digital boom. It uses a unique encoding system different from Kruti Dev.

2. The "Moving Matra" Challenge

The biggest headache with 4C Gandhi is the positioning of the "Chhoti-E" (ि) matra. In the raw code, this matra often appears BEFORE the letters it modifies, which confuses standard converters.

For example, in a word like 'Karyakartao' (कार्यकर्ताओं), a normal converter might place the matra on the wrong character, making it unreadable.

3. Wishall's Native Decoding

Wishall uses a native decoding engine specifically built for 4C Gandhi. Instead of simple replacement, it analyzes the word structure.

With Wishall Smart Hindi Editor, complex words with half-characters (Halant) and Reph (ra-ki-matra) are converted with 99.9% accuracy.
